August 2010 saw the birth of our annual School of Creative Arts Camp, right here in Green Pastures. A residential week in August, packed with fun and creativity, each day was filled with activities centered around both the spiritual and practical aspects of worshipping through music. Campers had the opportunity to see what happens ‘behind the scenes’ among the church music team, as well as to play together as a band on stage, covering songs and beginning to write their own lyrics and melodies. More information will be released about SoCA//Camp ’11 in the next few months, but this year we hope to include other ‘creative arts’, including art, dance and drama. Wherever your talents lie, our heart is to equip and encourage you to use what God has placed in your hands to glorify His name. This is a really exciting and empowering week, where you can gain knowledge and skill alongside learning the true meaning of Worship and more about the God we worship.
